Privacy

We keep as little data as possible, we do not sell it, and there is no advertising or tracking on TopTroc.

What we store, and why

• Your email : to sign you in and notify you of swaps. It is never shown to other members.
• Your username and town : visible to the people you swap with.
• Your mobile phone, if you provide it: only for a text message when the Grand Troc offers you a swap. Never shown to other members.
• Your items, their photos and your wishes : to find swaps. Available items are visible to everyone, even without an account, without your email or phone number.
• Your swaps and reliability : to organise drop-offs and make loops safer.
• Without an account, if you ask to be notified : your email or mobile number, your latest searches and your favourites, to tell you about new items and remind you that your favourites are about to disappear. Nothing is sent before you confirm; deleted in one click, or after 6 months without a visit.
• Reports : for moderation, as required by platform regulations (the EU Digital Services Act).

This processing is based on providing the service you request when creating an account and, for moderation, on our legal obligations.

How long

As long as your account exists. When you delete it, your account data, items and wishes are erased.

Cookies

No advertising or audience-measurement cookies. Your browser only keeps a login token, so you stay signed in, and, without an account, your favourites (24 h) and your latest searches, which never leave your device unless you ask to be notified.

Service providers

We use technical service providers who only use your data to provide this service to us:

• Netlify (website hosting) and Render (server), in the United States;
• Neon (database);
• Cloudinary (photo storage);
• Brevo, in France (sending emails and text messages).

When data is processed outside the European Union, these transfers are governed by the safeguards provided for under the GDPR.

Your rights

You can access, correct, erase or retrieve your data, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@toptroc.com. You can also delete your account yourself from My space. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can contact the CNIL (cnil.fr).
