Rules and reports

TopTroc relies on trust: everyone drops off, everyone collects. These rules protect it.

Prohibited items

• Dangerous or recalled products : recalled car seats or childcare products (check rappel.conso.gouv.fr), damaged electrical appliances, chemicals.
• Illegal items : weapons, medicines, tobacco and alcohol, live animals, stolen items.
• Counterfeits.
• Inappropriate content : shocking or hateful photos or text, or content unrelated to the item.

Good conduct

• Describe your items' condition honestly, with a real photo.
• Reply to proposals within 48 hours and drop off what you promised.
• No money: no top-ups or disguised sales.
• Be polite to other members and at the drop-off point.

Report content

In a swap, the link “Report” under an item opens a form: choose the reason and explain the problem. Without an account, or to report a member, write to contact@toptroc.com specifying the item or username and the reason. This address is our single point of contact, including for authorities; we reply in French.

What happens next

1. Every report is reviewed by a person, not an automated system.
2. If upheld, the item is removed and related swaps are cancelled. In the event of a serious or repeated breach, the account may be suspended.
3. The person concerned receives an email explaining the decision and its reason. The reporter is also informed of the outcome.

Appealing a decision

Simply reply to the decision email explaining why you disagree: it will be reviewed. You retain the right to bring the matter before a court in all cases.
