Yes. Offering items and wishes, searching, joining the Sunday Grand Troc and swapping in person cost nothing. On TopTroc there are no prices, money or points: one item for another.

You give a pushchair to Inès, Inès gives a drill to Marc, Marc gives a child's bike… to you. Nobody needs to find “the” right person: TopTroc closes the loop. Everyone gives once and receives once.

Every Sunday at 6 pm (Paris time), TopTroc searches for all possible loops at once, across all items. You receive an email (and a text message if you provided your mobile number) if a swap is waiting for you. You have 48 hours to accept, then until noon the following Sunday to drop off your item.

A single refusal or lack of response cancels the loop. The items return to the next Grand Troc and nobody loses their item. Not replying within 48 hours or not dropping off a promised item lowers your reliability; declining a swap does not.

At the drop-off point shown in the swap: everyone drops off their item, then collects theirs using a code once everyone has dropped off. You can also swap in person if you know each other.

An item you own, in working order, with a photo and an honest description of its condition. Some items are prohibited (dangerous or recalled products, counterfeits, illegal items): see the rules.

Paste the listing link on the home page: we help you copy your item onto TopTroc, without a price, in exchange for something useful to you.

Yes, you choose it when you create your account. Then use “Sign in” at the top of the page: your email, your password, and that's it. Forgot it? Get a 6-digit code by email.

Your username and town are visible to the people you swap with. Your email and phone number are never shown to other members. Full details are on the privacy.

The pilot is running in Bouches-du-Rhône (13), where swaps are taking place first. You can already create an account and offer your items: the Grand Troc will come to your area as soon as enough people join.

In My space, at the bottom of “My lists”, using “Delete my account”. Your data is erased and your ongoing swaps are cancelled for the other participants.
